We'll begin our day early in the morning as we journey towards Bonampak, known as the Mayan city of "Painted Walls." En route, we'll stop at the family-owned Selva Maya or Cañada restaurant for breakfast. Bonampak is one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in our journey to Chiapas, boasting the best-preserved Mayan paintings worldwide. The Bonampak wall paintings depict a captivating narrative about the ancient Maya's lifestyle and customs.

Our next destination is Yaxchilán, one of the region's most striking Mayan cities. Located amidst the jungle, the ruins of Yaxchilán are only accessible by navigating the Usumacinta River, which separates Mexico from Guatemala. The 50-minute boat ride itself is an exhilarating experience.

El hotel María Eugenia de Tuxtla no me gustó pero el Hotel Nututum en Palenque y San Marcos en San Cristóbal están muy bonitos, excelente atención; los choferes y guías excelentes. Es la segunda vez que contratamos con Hoteleus y creo que lo seguiremos haciendo.
