For this reason, on those days we offer an alternative tour that includes a panoramic visit to the region's apple orchards and a culinary experience at an authentic Mennonite artisanal pizzeria. It’s a wonderful way to continue enjoying the cultural and culinary richness of the area.

Creel is a charming "Pueblo Mágico" nestled high in the Sierra Madre Occidental, and one of the most iconic destinations along the Chepe train route through the Copper Canyon. Founded in 1907 on what was once a Tarahumara ranch known as Nariachi, this picturesque town offers stunning natural surroundings and a deep connection to the Rarámuri culture.

During your free day, you can walk from your hotel to the town center to explore local handicraft shops, traditional restaurants, and experience the everyday life of this mountain community. If time allows, you may also want to visit nearby attractions such as Cusárare Waterfall, Lake Arareko, or the majestic Basaseachi Waterfall.

Creel is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, horseback riding, biking, or ATV tours. If you’d like to enrich your day with an optional activity, we recommend speaking with your travel agent to learn about the available experiences.

You will taste delicious cheeses! In Creel you can walk through various parts of this Magical Town. We will get on the Chepe Train, and we will go to another of the stops of the Copper Canyon tour: Bahuichivo.
You will visit one of the highest vineyards in Mexico, as well as the Gallego Hill and the Urique Viewpoint.

Overall it was a pleasant trip but coming from Australia we found very expensive due to our low dollar exchange rate and when adding tipping
Communication was difficult due to different time zones of countries especially when we found out the main reason for going was the rail journey was cancelled 1 week before flying out of country and no refund, only a change of schedule which was not possible for us.
We finaly recieved booking confirmation the morning before leaving home.
We also lost our airfares to Los Mochis so just cut our losses and made the most of the situation.
Other than that the Copper Canyon was a magnificant area to visit but please please have accomadation in Chihauhau close to downtown as we never got a chance to visit.
The accomadation was 5km out and as we arrived late at 930pm on the 1st day and flew out 9.00am the last day had no chance to visit.
We arrived on the final day at 5pm but were too tired after a long day to find a way to get in to downtown and back.
We are hoping to get a refund of balance of trip due to rail cancellation but so far have not seen any advice on any bank statement so will wait and see.
Therese our travel consultant did an excellent job under all the difficulties as we were only but one group of passengers affected by the rail disruption.

Lo bello del viaje: los traslados y lugares que visitamos estuvieron muy bien planeados, los hoteles de muy buena calidad, la atención de la agente de ventas durante el viaje fue excelente y los choferes muy atentos e hicieron los trayectos amenos y seguros. El viaje incluyó la zona urbana de Chihuahua, pueblos mágicos, museos, el tren y el cañón, por supuesto, que es maravilloso!!! Dejo al final que el itinerario del viaje fue toda una incertidumbre. Decía que el tren incluía desayuno, pero a todos nos dieron un pan con café; en los campos Menonitas y el museo que visitamos pagamos nosotros las entradas; no tuvimos un guía turístico en el city tour, fue el chofer el que nos contó algunas cosas de la ciudad en Chihuahua muy amable, pero nada especifico en los datos históricos; en el paseo de Creel nos pasó lo mismo. La agente de viajes no nos recomendó que era mejor si realizábamos el viaje iniciando por Mochis y terminando en Chihuahua, solo nos vendió el tour de inicio y termino en Chihuahua y después de haberlo comprado dijo que lo mas bonito estaba en el recorrido de Mochis. Espero que esos puntos los mejoren.

La asistencia de Laura Sanchez fue de primera, gente como ella hace grande una empresa.
El tour en Chihuahua fue lo peor, no bajamos del bus ni para tomar fotos, solo paramos en una casa para comprar souvenirs, el guía parecia ocultar su desconocimiento del tema con chistes malos y cosas sin importancia, salio con una hora de retraso y duro dos, ni siquiera fuimos a la catedral o al zócalo.

Experiencia bastante buena, ampliar un poco mas la estancia en Estacion Divisadero hay muchas activuidades que realizar y solo es una noche en el punto mencionado. Probablemente si recomendaria el tour
