El Fuerte was designated a Pueblo Mágico of Mexico in 2009, and it's easy to see why. Founded in 1563 by Spanish conquistadors, El Fuerte owes its name to the fortress built in response to ongoing conflicts with the native peoples of the region. The rooms have two double beds and do not have extra bed services. It is important that you bring your printed train tickets, these will be sent to you by email after making your payment.
