Day 1 - Arrival in Paris, the city of lights awaits us.
Hello! I'm Eddie, welcome to my itinerary.
Secret information: upon booking this itinerary the Travel Designer reveals additional information with tips.

First of all, I want to thank you for being here! My name is Eddie, I am the founder of Hoteleus and one of the most active Travel Designers.

Since 2006, when I was 20 years old, I started traveling and I haven't stopped since then. In 2022, I visited 8 countries, 180 cities, and 1004 sites according to Google Maps (https://www.instagram.com/p/CnKn6vctkrU/). I have traveled as a backpacker, with family, with friends, as a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago, and also in luxury mode.

Life has blessed me with a little bundle of love, and now I am a happy father of a baby whom I adore. For now, I am based in Europe and I am taking advantage of everything I can to create the best travel itineraries for Europe.

In Hoteleus, you can easily book this and all the itineraries I have created. I have done thorough research and strategically selected the best hotels to carry out the trips I design. I try to provide options for all budgets, but I usually recommend mid-high range hotels that have excellent reviews and are conveniently located.

The proper selection of accommodation is very important in travel. That's why this site is called Hoteleus! The intention is to provide you with a suggested itinerary with the best recommendations and for you to be able to easily book the recommended hotels, so you don't waste hours searching and can fully enjoy your trip.

Welcome, and I hope you enjoy this itinerary!

Additional note: For those curious, in some of the suggested activities of the itineraries, you will find a green alert that announces secret information. This information includes additional tips shared by the trip designer as a thank you for booking their itinerary. For example, if you book this itinerary, I will share a generic personal tip. I believe it is useful for all people traveling to Europe.

Welcome to Europe after a long flight.
Secret information: upon booking this itinerary the Travel Designer reveals additional information with tips.

Friends! After an intercontinental flight from America to Europe, you will surely feel very tired. In addition, you will have to get used to the new schedule.

I would like to give you some recommendations so that you can adjust and recover your energy as soon as possible.

First of all, try to take your flight as late as possible from America; so that the journey is at night and you can sleep better during the flight.

It is ideal that you prepare for a long flight. Take comfortable clothing, a neck pillow, something to cover yourself from the cold on the plane, and water to keep yourself hydrated during the flight.

I think that staying hydrated during the trip is the most important thing. Thanks to hydration, you will feel better and you will be able to prevent your throat from drying out and getting sick.

Other useful accessories can be noise-canceling headphones with your favorite music, books, and whatever you like to distract yourself. Many people download movies from Netflix and watch them on their cellphone.

Personally, I try not to eat too much before or during the flight. Airplane food doesn't usually sit well with me. In addition, pressure changes affect the digestive system. That's why I recommend eating healthy and light.

Another important recommendation is not to let sleep overcome you on the first day. Resist and try to sleep as late as possible the first night. This way, you will have a long and deep rest.

Usually, if you fall asleep early, you will wake up at 5 in the morning with nothing to do and you will be tired all day.

Well then! Now the excitement of our trip to Europe begins. An adventure awaits us that you will never forget. For those who book one of my itineraries, I will share some additional tips.

Airports of Paris
Secret information: upon booking this itinerary the Travel Designer reveals additional information with tips.
In Paris there are three airports: Chales de Gaulle, Orly, and a bit farther away the Beauvais airport. I recommend trying to get to Charles de Gaulle Airport, which is the main airport in Paris and where most intercontinental flights arrive. The second option is to arrive at Orly airport, which is further away. Lastly, there is Beauvais airport. Only low-cost airlines fly to Beauvais airport and it is located 80 kilometers north of Paris (it's a hassle to get there). - Charles de Gaulle Airport: It is the main airport in Paris and one of the most important in the world. Major commercial airlines fly to this airport, as well as some low-cost airlines. It is very well connected to Paris by a train that arrives at Gare du Nord station, where you can take the metro to go anywhere in Paris. - Orly Airport: It is located 20 kilometers from Paris and the travel time from the center to the airport is approximately 40 minutes. The cheapest and most popular option to get from the airport is to use tram line T7 and then take the metro. The tram arrives at Villejuif-Louis Argon station. - Beauvais Airport: Only low-cost airlines fly to this airport. The airport is located 80 kilometers from Paris and it is necessary to take a bus that costs approximately 30 euros. I do not recommend this option. To take the bus, you must book your ticket in advance online (you don't want to miss your flight). The bus stop in Paris is located in a parking lot near Porte Maillot metro station. Many tours of Europe start in Paris, so if you are a frequent traveler, you will have a special love for Charles de Gaulle airport. Additional tips can be found in the secret information.
The City of Light welcomes us.
Secret information: upon booking this itinerary the Travel Designer reveals additional information with tips.

Paris, the City of Light, welcomes us. But why do we call it the City of Light?

I usually suggest this activity on the first day of arrival in Paris.

Since I don't know what time you arrive in Paris, this activity is usually good for everyone because you can do it after nightfall. The intention is to give you a general and panoramic idea of the city. At the same time, it will fill you with excitement and anticipation for what will surely be a wonderful trip.

Paris is thought to be called the City of Light for three reasons. The first is because it was the first city in Europe to have public lighting in the early 17th century.

The second is that Paris, in the 18th century, was the most important philosophical and cultural center of the Enlightenment. Great figures like Rousseau, Diderot, and Voltaire appeared in Paris. Paris illuminated the world with new ideas. Paris was a beacon of light for the world.

The third is that in the early 19th century, Paris was the first city in the world to have public lighting using gas lamps.

In short, keeping the historical context in mind, I'll give you one more simple reason to see Paris at night. IT'S BEAUTIFUL! There are two ways I recommend for visiting Paris at night.

Hire a boat tour to explore Paris along the River Seine. This is a very simple and highly recommended way to do this panoramic visit. It's the one I recommend the most. For those who book any of my itineraries with this activity, I'll give you tips for doing this tour.

The second is to go to the Eiffel Tower to see it shine at night on your own. Likewise, for those who book this or any other itinerary with this activity, I'll tell you my favorite spot to see the Eiffel Tower at night.

Summary

Paris is a monumental city with too many things to visit, places to see, stories to tell, and flavors to taste. How is it possible to create the perfect travel itinerary to Paris? It's not possible, but I'll do my best.

This travel itinerary is mainly intended for people arriving in Paris from a distant place like America. Although it can be done perfectly by someone traveling from Spain. Usually, trips from America arrive in Paris in the afternoon and people feel tired from the long journey.

We'll leave the first day a bit free with some suggestions, assuming you'll arrive in the afternoon and only have time from 5 pm.

I planned the second day to visit the Louvre Museum, we'll take a "quick" visit that will take between 3 and 5 hours, just enough to see the most important things. We could spend whole days at the Louvre Museum and still not finish. Then we'll take a beautiful walk to Les Invalides to see Napoleon's tomb.

The third day will be dedicated to visiting the Eiffel Tower, Champ de Mars, and Champs-Elysées with the Arc de Triomphe. But there will be surprises along the way, like the Museum of Modern Art and the Flame of Liberty.

We'll dedicate the fourth day to one of the most impressive and famous palaces in the world, the Palace of Versailles. It will take us at least the whole morning to visit. When we return, I'll suggest visiting Montmartre at sunset and the Sacred Heart Church.

On the fifth day, we'll return home! No need to cry, someday Paris will be waiting for your return so you can show it a new version of yourself and at the same time see a different version of Paris.
