Day 2 - Free day in Lima
Free morning in Lima: tour to the downtown on Turibus, by bicycle, or walking tour.
To spend the morning in Lima, I recommend taking a stroll through the historic center, which is a bit far from the Miraflores neighborhood. In the center, you'll find the main square and some very beautiful colonial buildings. The highlights include the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, and above all, Lima Cathedral. You can do this activity on your own or hire a tour. There are tours to take this route on a Panoramic Bus (https://turibus.pe/), bike tours (http://www.mirabiciperu.pe/es/tours), and walking tours. My favorite is the bike tour, as it allows you to see more and adds some physical conditioning to the day. Among the walking tour options are the "Free Walking Tours" or "Tours Gratuitos Caminando" (https://freetourlima.com/). Nothing is free (or shouldn't be) as in the end, the guides ask tourists for a donation. The advantage is that the guides are usually very good! So, one feels good about tipping them.
Food in Lima: The Great Gastronomy of Peru!
Secret information: upon booking this itinerary the Travel Designer reveals additional information with tips.
When one thinks about traveling to Peru, immediately they think about Machu Picchu and in second place about the delicious food in Lima. Lima is known as one of the gastronomic capitals of the world. It is very important that you prepare your palate to taste the delicacies of Peru. To all those who book this itinerary or any of the itineraries I have designed for traveling to Peru, I will provide a list of my favorite restaurants in Lima. I will recommend the following restaurants that have delicious food and excellent reviews.
"Magic Water Circuit in Lima"

One way to relax and have fun in Lima is by visiting the Magical Water Circuit at the Reserve Park. This visit is very beautiful and fun. The fountains have become one of the icons of the city of Lima. During the tour, you will see the fountains with lights and music. There are different shows, so I recommend checking the schedules at: https://www.circuitomagicodelagua.com.pe/.

Gourmet Dinner with Drinks at Nuevo Mundo Bar Miraflores
Before going to rest, let's get to know a bit of the nightlife in Lima at Nuevo Mundo Bar Miraflores. It is well located in the Miraflores neighborhood, so you can usually walk from your hotel to the bar. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and you will surely enjoy it immensely. This is the perfect time to enjoy a Pisco Sour, Peru's national drink.

Summary

Get ready for an unforgettable experience in Peru with this travel itinerary that covers the most emblematic tourist destinations: Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and the majestic Machu Picchu! This journey has been meticulously designed to offer you the best of Peru in one trip. This is one of the classic Peru travel itineraries.

Start your adventure in the vibrant capital of Peru, Lima. I suggest spending a full day here, in addition to your arrival day. This planning will not only allow you to acclimatize but also give you the opportunity to explore the city's rich history and culture. I also recommend booking your flight from Lima to Cusco for the following morning. This is crucial as morning flights to Cusco, a mountainous region, tend to have fewer complications.

To maximize your experience and save on costs, I advise purchasing a multi-destination flight from your home city to Lima and then from Cusco back to your home. Subsequently, buy the flight from Lima to Cusco separately. National airlines offer very competitive rates, allowing you to save without sacrificing comfort.

During your trip, you will enjoy accommodations of upper-middle and superior categories, ensuring comfort and quality at each destination. These hotels have been carefully selected to offer you a pleasant and memorable stay.

By booking this itinerary, you will not only have access to a perfectly structured tour but also receive exclusive tips that will enrich your experience. These additional tips will make your trip even more rewarding.

Don't wait any longer and embark on this unique adventure through Peru! Your dream trip awaits you with unforgettable moments and stunning landscapes.
