Travel Designer Review:
The best way to go from Paris to Barcelona is by plane. To decide which flight we will choose, we will use two main criteria.
1) Cost
2) Schedule
Since the schedule is a matter of personal preference and related to the itinerary activities, I will focus more on the cost.
There are several low-cost airlines in Europe like RyanAir that are very affordable. However, it may be more expensive to use these airlines because the flights are usually from distant airports.
To get to or from these airports, you often have to take a special bus and travel for more than 1 hour. Additionally, the bus schedules sometimes do not coincide with the flight schedules. So you may have to wait for additional hours at the airport.
Barcelona is one of the cities in Europe with the best air connectivity and the most important one after Madrid in Spain. If you arrive in Barcelona by plane, you can arrive at two airports:
Barcelona El-Prat - Without a doubt, it is the most convenient airport in Barcelona. You can transfer to and from the airport by bus, metro, or train.
Metro - You have to take line 9 Zona Universitaria - Aeropuerto, it is one of the most economical ways to get to the airport.
Train - The train only departs from the R2 Nord terminal on the Aeroport - Maçanet-Massanes line, and it is the most economical way to get to El-Prat. The bus is also a good option because it is quite affordable.
Bus - It departs from Plaça Catalunya - Aeropuerto (T2 terminal). It is very common to go by bus because there are plenty of schedules, and Plaça Catalunya is very central.
Girona Barcelona Airport - This airport is widely used by low-cost airlines. The disadvantage is that it is in another city (Girona). To get to Barcelona from Girona Airport, you have to take a special bus that takes more than 1 hour to arrive.
To plan your trip by bus, visit: https://www.aena.es/en/girona-costa-brava/como-llegar/autobus.html with updated information. Today, the bus departs from Estación del Norte, next to Arco de Triunfo, every 20 minutes.
The two best flight search engines in Europe are Kayak and Skyscanner. I recommend using them in your flight searches.

The following suggested activities and notes are not included in the reservation of this itinerary. The Travel Designer included them so that you can optionally do them on your own during your trip.
This trip I have designed for two friends starting their journey from Mexico City. I decided to start the adventure in Paris and then take a flight from Paris to Barcelona and then take a fast train from Barcelona to Madrid.
