Tours Yucatan Peninsula: Riviera Maya, Yucatán and Campeche
Treasures of the Yucatan Peninsula: A Family Adventure through Culture, Cuisine, and Nature
Travel Designer Review:
After breakfast, head to Chichen Itza. To make the most of your visit and avoid the crowds, I recommend sleeping near the ruins and arriving as early as possible. The site opens at 8 am, and being there early will allow you to discover the archaeological site calmly and with fewer tourists around. Try to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before opening.
As one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza is a fascinating place to explore. Before your visit, I recommend reading up on the history of the site to fully appreciate the significance of what you're seeing.
After your visit to Chichen Itza, we'll head to Izamal for lunch. Izamal is a charming town known for its yellow buildings and colonial architecture. It's a great place to relax and explore at your leisure, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and historic landmarks to see.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore Izamal or simply relax and enjoy the town's laid-back atmosphere.
At the end of the day continue to Merida to find your hotel and finish the day with a delicious dinner
To all who book one of my itineraries with this activity I will share with you one of my favorite cenotes in Yucatán that you can visit on this day. Also additional advice to visit Chichen Itza.
